-Yeah, but we had the support of 43 million South Africans-" said Franscois Pienaar, the captain of the South African rugby team, the Springboks to a journalist, after wining a match.
This quote expresses the unity of the South African peoples. But this unity, didn't exist from the beginning of time. Global Warming Essay

The Global Warming, is described by the scientists as an unusual climate change that affects the Earth, is defined like the most significant environmental problem of now days, but is that true? Most people think that to get out, they have realized that is a "global problem", thinking that the only part of the world that is damaged, are the poles, but they are not conscious of all that this problem encomposses. This problem really affects all the world, not only a part of it, affects all the ecosystem, and it can reach a level where it can kill animals, and the land were we live

In first place is good to remember, that Global Warming is described by scientist as an climate change, because it ´deeply affects the way water travels though out atmosphere`, greenretreat.org state. This new way of the water travel could cause a heat that produce several droughts, This situation could affect our forest, crops, and water reserves, something that directly influence animals, and human being, who could die for dehydration and starvation.

Secondly, as an example of what Global Warming could produce, in Latin America where the conscuences of this ca turn tropical forests on ssavannahs. What is more, this can generate the extinction of several species of animals. Also would change our agriculture and energy generation.

Even though, the fact is that the rises of temperature on Earth has encresed only 1ºC in the last 30 years ` which may not seem like much to most people´, (climate.nasa.gob). But this rise of temperature is not actually innocent, because produces catostrophes all over the world, generating the melting of ince in the poles, and also all the points I mentioned before. And if only 1ºC produces that, what is next?

All in all, I really think that Global Warming is the most significant environmental problem we are facing today, because it may can change the way we live, and also can end all way of life in the Earth. It`s our responsability to keep our world clean and save, otherwise we will face environmental problems in all our ecosystem and societies. But also it is essential to act now, not the day when these disasters that can happen, take place. After all ´do not do tomorrow what you can do today´

Bird by Pablo Neruda

Poem:
It was passed from one bird to another,
the whole gift of the day.
The day went from flute to flute,
went dressed in vegetation,
in flights which opened a tunnel
through the wind would pass
to where birds were breaking open
the dense blue air -
and there, night came in.

When I returned from so many journeys,
I stayed suspended and green
between sun and geography -
I saw how wings worked,
how perfumes are transmitted
by feathery telegraph,
and from above I saw the path,
the springs and the roof tiles,
the fishermen at their trades,
the trousers of the foam;
I saw it all from my green sky.
I had no more alphabet
than the swallows in their courses,
the tiny, shining water
of the small bird on fire
which dances out of the pollen.

Visualization:

1st shot: A low angle, plus a wide shot, frames a big, blue, sunny sky full of birds, flying through the wind, that sounds like a flute
2nd shot: The camera make a high angle above a flying bird. In that position, it can be seen a large forest full of vegetation
3rd shot: Zoom in a mountain. Suddenly the camera passes the mountain, and left a great full moon. Pan out to bird flying beyond earth and the clouds
4th shot: Extreme close up, to the wing of the bird, emplosizing on his feather
5th shot: The camera moves to one eye of the bird ( still with the extreme close up) and it goes deeper on it. Then the camera shows a wide shot of the earth showing a path that drives to a little town, there they can see the house's roofs
6th: The camera make an extreme close up again to the bird, and then pan out to show a wide shot, plus a dutch angle, of the landscape

News draft

Thanks studio, and yes the "King Arthur" is choosing his kingdom, and no one knows where he is going to be this next season.
Until now Arturo Vidal, is the midfielder of Juventus, where he won 3 times the italian calcio. Also with his excellent participation on the Chilean team, was more than enough to have the attention of the greatest teams in Europe, especially Man Udt who according to what his DT, Louis Van Gaal needs, they want without excuse the chilean player.
But that is not easy work because, Juventus knowing that Man Udt is willing to pay £47m, does not want to sell Vidal, but they accepted that if he doesn't show an intention to leave, they wont sell him. Also Allegri DT of Juventus, declared that Vidal will stay in the club and they are happy with that, but recently international reports say that Vidal has a verbal agreement  with the Red Devils Team
It seems that this year, with the arrival of Alexis Sanchez on Arsenal, and the imminent sign of Vidal on Man Udt, we will have a Premier League with a lot of chileans, but this is something that only the time will tell us.
Thank you very much

Piece of News: Where is going to play this next season, the 'King Arthur'?

Juventus or Man Udt?

1.- What is your piece of news about?
My piece of news is about where the football player Arturo Vidal is going to be this next season 2014-2015. Many international journalists say that he is going to stay at Juventus, but Manchester United is willing to pay as much as they can, to have the 'King Arthur' in his team. Whatever all what we all now is that were he is going to play is a mistery
3A.- Write down a summary of each of those sources (2 to 3 lines)

According to the UK news station, Louis Van Gaal (DT of Man Utd) wants the chilean midfielder player without excuse, and that is why Man Utd. offers £47m to have him in his team the player who can be the top sign in the football club. But Juventus who is agree with the offer of Man Utd, is convinced that he is going to stay at Italy, and that if they sold him, if because he ask to do it

3B.- Take note of 2 or 3 comments made by one of the people involved in the the sources you chose. Write the name of the person who said that.
a)Allegri DT of Juventus said "Vidal will stay here and he's very happy about this, I spoke with him about his fitness, we're happy he will stay with us"
b) Juventus: "(...)If he doesn't show an intention to leave, our position won't change."
c) Express.co.uk News: According to reports in Chile, the World Cup star has verbally agreed to join United.

The idea is that in your own News Report you are able to refer to those comments by using reported speech.
4.- Put together 3 ideas that you would like to include in your own news report.
a) Manchester want Vidal without excuse, willing to pay as much Juventus want
b) Juventus dont want to sell the chilean player, but with the £47m of Man Udt, the only thing that separes Vidal of Old Stratford is his own agreement
c) Today off is a mistery the team that "King Arthur" will defend on this new season, but some reports around the world says that Vidal has a "verbally agreed" with the Red Devils Team
5.- Get ready to prepare your own news report and upload the previous information on your website.

Gladiator -Emperor of Rome Commodus-

After the famous scene of the movie Gladiator had been going on, Commodus see Maximus going out the arena, with a imprudence actitude.
Instead of kill him or something else, the Emperor of Rome let him live another day, but not without felling insulted of what just happend, because he was humiliated by a ordinary gladiator, a simple slave. At this point of the movie, the Emperor of Rome take his way to see one of his advisers, to talk about what just happened and what to do next. This is a extract from the movie climax

Dragging his cape and his ego on the ground, Commodus travel the corridors of the Coliseum on his way to go out of it. When he was at the streets of Rome, he knew what to do next, go to the house of his adviser, to tell him what just happened.
COMMUDUS: How this can happened? They told me that he was dead! And I let him alive...it is a mistake to kill him with all that crowd that love him, what can happened if the Emperor kill an innocent in front of his eyes with no reason?! But we have to do something, if I give him time, he probably kill him or something worse
ADVISER: Is a mistake to kill him in that way, because is a dishonorable attitude
He make a pause, like he was thinking in something and then he say
ADVISER: But there is one way...what if you ask him for a duel? You can say that you want to fight with the best gladiator of all Rome because is a honor to do it. There you can kill him, is simple
COMMUDUS: But how, he will kill ME
ADVISER: You are the Emperor, you can have some benefit...a silent stab at his back and...
COMMUDUS: And i will kill him easily in the arena, brilliant
After that scene, the plan began, and a final battle started in the arena of the Coliseum, with our hero, the Gladiator Maximus, with the Emperor of Rome Commudus

Rationale - Bloody Sunday -

I wrote a protest letter about the victims of Bloody Sunday in Northern Ireland. It was written with an serious tone and hopes to address the Prime Minister. In my letter,  I tried to present my point of  view  with phrase like “I am writting to express my concern” and “Please do everything in your power”. I tried as well to use a sophisticated level of vocabulary with word choices like “ cherry-pick and riot” finally I tried to use complex structures like one might see in a higher level publication such as The New York Times with sentences like “They were doing a peaceful riot to protest about their human rights” and “give the families of the injured a rest for their pain”. Using these elements I feel I reached my purpose set out in the task. This task addresses the topic “Taking a Stand”  and specially addresses the topic of the abuse of power. I think  a letter of protest helped me to  best express what I learned from the topics we studied in this unit and how I feel about them

Letter of protest: Bloody Sunday

                                                                                                                                Vicuña Mackena

                                                                                                                                  Viña del Mar

Prime Minister David Cameron
London, England

15 May 2014

Dear Mr. Cameron,
I am writting to express my concern about the 'Bloody Sunday' case, based on the incident on 30 January 1972. I know that is considered a closed case, but I think that some things are not solved yet
The families of the injured people of that day, only want justice to the killers that shot without reason his sons, daughter, brothers and sisters. They dont want only a report that takes years to be done, only to confirm the thing that everybody know, they were murder

I am particulary concerned about the way that the British soldier attack those inocent people. They were doing a peaceful riot to protest about their human rights. I know that the killed started throw things to the soldier, but the way they react to that was awful.  The civilians threw them things, but with no porpuse to damage them, they only want to protest. And the soldiers instead of contain and arrest them, they started to shot unarmed civlians, that only want to protest and express their feelings. Actually the report say that they were killed from behind, while they were runing away to save their lifes

In addition, this thing that I told you recently refuses what  Mr. Stephen Pollard said about the report of the judge Lord Saville. The lawyer Pollar, that defend the Bristish Army, said that Mr. Saville 'cherry pick' all the information on the report, explaning that the killed people attack first, producing the self defence of the soldiers, but in fact they only threw things without hurting anyone, and also the way that the soldiers do that self-defence, was not the appropriate

Please do everything in your power to give the families of the injured a rest for their pain, and close the case by the way that all people want to, with a judgment and a punishement to those soldiers.
The consequences of all these is that the people dont feel save with his army, that are suppose to protect them, will be very damaging if you dont do something about this. Please put a stop to these insecurity that feel the people to the soldiers

I look forward to your responce,
Your sincerely,

Diego Pertuzé

The Lost Wallet

Like any other normal day, Steve was waking to his home after a large day of work. Suddenly he saw a wallet on the floor. It was a lost wallet, without any ID card, that could be used to find the owner of it, but instead of it the wallet was full of money, more than most of the people save on it

Steve was amazed, without any idea of what to do ¿He must look for the owner or it was the destiny that gives Steve all that money? Still thinking he saw some matches that belongs to "Hollywood's Bar". It was a old bar that following a old tradition, gives for his clients, some matches everytime they came
Steve knew that bar perfectly, oftenly he went to the bar with his friends when they go out of the work. It was near the place that he was standing, so he started to walk there, looking for the owner of the wallet that he recently found. It was a lot of money, and even though he had economicals problems he was decided to gives the owner of the wallet his money

The bar was full of people, and it was normal, cause it was friday. That was a problem because it will be more complicated to find the owner of the wallet, if he was there...
In one part of the bar it was a stage for some bands that took there, and also it was a microphone.
Taking the microphone he ask for the owner of the wallet, shaking it on his hand.
By surprice, a blonde man with large hair stand up, it was the millonaire Forkos
"Take it" say to Steve
